Response to covid-19
Changes in service as a result of covid-19 for the 2021 season:
First of all… don’t travel if you are experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 or have been exposed to Covid-19 in the last 14 days. Our cancellation policy allows for full refunds less $10 admin fee in order to make it super easy for you to stay home if you suddenly need to.
All guests are asked to sanitize hands upon entry.
All guests will be required to wear a face mask in common areas of the Inn in accordance with Windsor Essex Health Unit order; effective June 22, 2020.
Physical distancing is required in all common areas indoors and outdoors. Slow down and make space, there is nowhere you have to be in a hurry on Pelee Island.
All common touchpoints in the Main House are wiped down multiple times daily. Sanitizing your hands often, helps us help you.
We do not enter your room during your stay. We never used to either. So, this was easy to implement. But yes, that means you still have to make your own bed.
The Main House has restricted occupancy to reduce shared space and common touch points. Each Room in the Main House has its own “assigned” bathroom. These bathrooms are not “en suite”, and may be located on the Main Floor. We also don’t enter your bathroom for daily cleaning either; so… stay tidy 😉
July 16 the Province of Ontario entered Stage 3 of its reopening plan. As of July 19, cottage style buffet breakfasts are back! Brekkie Boxes can be prepared to go to meet everyone’s level of comfort. Grab and Go items also available.
Breakfast tables are found on the veranda and also in the living room area of the Main House to allow space between tables. Convenient breakfast trays allow for you to take your breakfast outdoors or back to your suite. Sanitizer is available on every table.
We continue to offer contactless payment. Per our existing terms and conditions (which you should absolutely read) your credit card is automagically charged within three days of arrival.
We do not offer early check in or late check out.
Each room is sanitized in accordance with the Canadian Hotel Association recommendations.
